Rule reminder

Italian diminutives add a suffix to nouns/adjectives to express smallness or affection. -ino/-ina is the most common (libro → libretto, gatto → gattino). -etto/-etta also signals small size (tavolo → tavoletto, casa → casetta). -ello/-ella is less common but found in many words (paese → paesello, asino → asinello). Spelling rules apply: -co/-go words add 'h' before the suffix (fuoco → fuochino — though not standard; parco → parc-h-etto).
