Rule reminder

When si impersonale is used with a reflexive verb, the reflexive pronoun 'si' would clash with the impersonal 'si'. To avoid 'si si', Italian uses 'ci si': 'ci si lava' (one washes oneself), 'ci si veste' (one gets dressed). In compound tenses: 'ci si è lavati', 'ci si è vestiti' — auxiliary essere, participle masculine plural.
