Rule reminder

Mica is a colloquial Italian word that intensifies negation. It can mean 'not at all', 'not really', or 'surely not'. It always implies negation but can appear with or without non. 'Non sono mica stanco' = I'm not tired at all. 'Mica lo sapevo!' = I had no idea! It often adds a tone of surprise, protest, or mild indignation.
